Have you seen a garden glow?

Winter Garden Aglow

Winter Garden Aglow

Every winter season the Boise Botanical Garden kicks off the holidays by turning the garden into a lit up wonderland.

There is something special about walking under Christmas lights at night. The way they glow and light up the night creates a warm fuzzy feeling everyone knows. You get that feeling when you’re at the Botanical Gardens. In fact they have taken it to a whole new level.

Beginning in late November and lasting for a little more than a month, the garden transforms into a winter wonderland featuring a stunning light display, cozy fire pits to warm your chilly bodies, and holiday drinks ready for sipping at the Snow Globe Bar. Write letters to Santa, and delight in the creatively curated Gingerbread Village.

Things to keep in mind if you go:

Dress warm! It’s cold in Idaho this time of year, especially at night. Hat. Gloves. Scarf. Coat. Boots!

Holiday Carolers sing most evenings.

Parking is FREE, but limited. Come early to park close!

Santa does visit! But since he does have work to do this time of year so visit Wednesday, Thursday, or Sunday before Christmas.

Take your kids and/or your friends! This is a fun, special Idaho tradition that shouldn’t be missed. Learn more at the Botanical Gardens website.
